About Kheyti

For smallholder farmers in India, unpredictable weather isn’t just inconvenient—it’s devastating. One failed crop due to drought or floods can erase an entire season’s income. As climate change worsens, the need for reliable, scalable solutions has never been greater.

Kheyti is addressing this challenge with the world’s first low-cost greenhouse-in-a-box. Designed specifically for small and marginal farmers, Kheyti’s modular greenhouses shield crops from heat, rain, pests, and hail, ensuring year-round yields and stable incomes. Priced at 80% less than traditional greenhouses and using 90% less water, they also reduce the need for pesticides and fertilisers, offering a breakthrough in accessible, climate-resilient farming.

To ensure a smooth experience, Kheyti provides end-to-end support to farmers, including installation, inputs, training, advisory, and market intelligence.

The impact is substantial. Farmers using Kheyti’s solution report 6–9x higher yields and 10–15x increases in income from the same land. Today, Kheyti works with over 2,500 farming households across India.

Kheyti at MIF’s Scale-Up

Kheyti joined MIF’s Scale-Up program in February 2021. With guidance from mentors such as Vivek Wadhwa, Head of Organised Trade at Marico, and Akshita Swaroop, Group Product Manager (Marketing and Sales Impact) at Marico, the startup has sharpened its go-to-market strategy, improved its farmer engagement model, and expanded its brand visibility.

The mentorship helped catalyse the launch of the Mitra Program, which mobilises farmers as local influencers to build trust and generate leads. To support this, Kheyti has scaled up farmer-facing outreach materials like pamphlets and other collateral.

Mentors also helped Kheyti strengthen its mid-funnel strategy—introducing video-led retargeting and structured campaign cycles that improved engagement and lead conversion.

To build internal capacity, MIF facilitated connections to hiring agencies, leading to the recruitment of a Finance Manager and strengthening of the operations team. Acting on further advice, Kheyti partnered with a call centre to streamline lead engagement and follow-ups.

These interventions have helped Kheyti accelerate adoption of its affordable, climate-smart farming system. As of 2025, it remains an active participant in the Scale-Up program.
