Innovation is not defined only by only how new an idea is, but by how far it can travel. The real test is whether a solution can move beyond a promising pilot to create meaningful, measurable change at scale.
That is the lens through which the 11th edition of Indian Innovation Icons will identify the founders and innovators shaping India’s next chapter of progress.
The applications are now closed. We have received 1000+ applications.
The next stage is a rigorous judging process designed to uncover ideas with the potential to move from possibility to widespread impact.
What’s Next for Indian Innovation Icons 2027
Across every sector, from deep-tech and clean energy to social development at the grassroots, entrepreneurs are building solutions tailored to India’s unique challenges.
However, as the ecosystem matures, the benchmark for true innovation shifts. It is now about sustained, measurable execution. As Amit Chandra, Jury Chair, Chairperson of Bain Capital India, and Co-founder of ATE Chandra Foundation, notes:

The focus for the team at Marico Innovation Foundation is to identify the game-changers ready to scale for the Indian Innovation Icons 2027. (formerly the Innovation for India Awards).
It’s a crucial, rigorous process that lies ahead.
