‘Sustainability Is A Way of Life’: MIF Founder Harsh Mariwala at Global Sustainability Alliance SDG 2024

At the 6th Edition of the Global Sustainability Alliance SDG Summit 2024 in New Delhi, Harsh Mariwala, Founder, Marico Innovation Foundation & Chairman, Marico Limited, joined global leaders and policymakers to discuss critical sustainability challenges and solutions. The summit brought together influential voices from across sectors, featuring over 70 speakers from more than 20 countries.

Speaking at the summit, Mr Mariwala emphasised the importance of integrating sustainability into business operations, stating: “Sustainability is a way of life at every level, and for any organisation, it must be an integral part of its agenda.” He particularly stressed the urgent need for businesses to acknowledge their role in reversing ecological damage. 

The summit featured other notable speakers including Bhupender Yadav, Minister of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, and D Jitendra Singh, Minister of State for Science & Technology. Key discussions centred around strengthening climate action collaboration, driving industry transformation, and accelerating sustainable development through innovation and leadership. Discussions also addressed critical areas such as energy efficiency, carbon removal strategies, and the role of technological innovation in achieving green targets.
