Over the past decade, India has witness a startup revolution. The landscape has dramatically evolved, shifting from an outsourcing hub to a global centre for innovation and entrepreneurship. While the 90s and early 2000s were dominated by service-oriented tech giants, recent years have witnessed a surge of successful startups across various sectors.

In FICCI’s annual publication for 2023, insights from Suranjana Ghosh, Head of Marico Innovation Foundation (MIF), and Amit Chandra, Honorary Chairperson of MIF’s Governing Council, are featured in the article titled ‘India as a Startup & Innovation Hub,’ offering a deep dive into India’s burgeoning startup ecosystem. The key takeaway: a focus on sustainability, technological innovation, and collaboration between public and private sectors is positioning India as a key component of the world’s growth engine.
