Research projects:
The Challenger Research
Today’s context in business poses a challenge
to constantly innovate to get quantum results.
A need to shift from incremental to quantum has
almost become a question of survival and no longer
a ‘nice to have’ situation.
The ‘Challenger Research’
is a project that has drawn cutting edge insights
from Indian organizations that have challenged
the conventions and achieved quantum growth through
innovation. Organizations that have defied the
industry patterns and stirred static, lifeless
domains. It is a study of organizations that consider
ideas, and not resources as their key competitive
advantage.
This project has built a body of India-centric
insight into:
‘‘What are the unique ways in which
the Indian mind (both individually and collectively)
struggles with challenging and transforming status
quo’? And
‘What does it take to create successful
innovations in the Indian organization context’?
The Social Innovation Research
India needs to find innovative solutions to its
most fundamental problems to leapfrog to a position
of respect, pride and dominance on the international
stage.
The ‘Social Innovation Research’
is a project to discover and study social innovations
that had made a quantum impact in:
The number of children attending and completing
schooling;
The income generating capacity of people at the
lowest end of the economic ladder
Water availability, especially in water scarce
regions; and
Ineffectiveness of Governance – Political
reform, City transformation and Police transformation.
These inspiring social innovations bring insight
into what differentiates social innovations and
if scaled up across the country, have the power
to virtually eliminate our fundamental problems.
They are impactful, sustainable and scaleable.
The ‘Product Innovation’ Research,
in collaboration with Altair Engineering
The focus of this research is to uncover the mindsets
that enable or disable product innovation in India.
The research also aims at providing platform where
the collective experiences of successful organizations
can be gathered and be used as a reference point
by the reader to initiate innovation within their
organization.
Additionally, the research will also focus on
-
Product innovation success stories.
Product innovation that was entirely conceived
and developed in India for the Indian/global consumer.
The primary challenges to innovation in a given
industry.
The mindsets that enable or disable innovation
from happening in these industries.
What are the biggest challenges faced by organizations
in the journey to innovation?
Within your organization - what enabled you to
succeed?
The study seeks to understand what Innovative
Organizations do differently to sense and focus
on radical change opportunities. How do their
efforts help in overcoming industry, organizational
and personal mindsets?
The study will help organizations understand the
success stories and give them an insight into
what worked for some of the successful innovators.
The study will also provide a mirror to the reader
to understand what is holding back product innovation
in their organization/industry and a framework
to overcome the same.
